Psychologist, Psychological & Neuropsychological Assessment

We’re looking for someone thorough who cares about the quality of an evaluation, who communicates with treating clinicians rather than working in a silo, and who meets the turnaround they commit to.

Training & Education

  • Required: doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in psychology or a related field
  • Required: active California license to conduct independent psychological evaluations
  • Required: active NPI number
  • Preferred: board certification or specialized neuropsychological training
  • Preferred: experience with pediatric and adolescent populations

Key Skills

  • Administration, scoring, and interpretation of a broad battery of psychological assessments
  • Expertise in ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum assessment, cognitive functioning, or neuropsychological evaluation
  • Clear, thorough report writing that clients, families, and referral sources can actually use
  • Comfort delivering feedback sessions to clients and families
  • Preferred: familiarity with insurance-based testing billing, CPT 96130 to 96139

Position Requirements

  • Minimum two years of independent psychological testing experience post-licensure
  • Carry your own professional liability insurance
  • Own assessment materials and testing kits, or the ability to arrange them independently
  • Complete evaluations and deliver reports within agreed timelines
  • Operate as a legally recognized independent contractor

Populations You’ll Be Working With

Children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults. Common referrals involve ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum assessment, cognitive and academic functioning, anxiety, and differential diagnosis.
