Mental Health Therapist, Licensed or Associate

- Kinetic Mental Health is hiring licensed clinicians and associate clinicians for our Danville office, with a second office opening in Glendale in Fall 2026. Both tracks are W-2 employee positions.

Training & Education
- Required: master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- Required, licensed track: active California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist
- Required, associate track: BBS registration as an AMFT, APCC, or ASW, active before any client contact
- Preferred: training in one or more evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method
- Preferred: play therapy, sand tray, attachment-based, or systems training
- Preferred: ADHD or autism therapy certification, or a willingness to obtain one
Key Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and case conceptualization
- Evidence-based treatment delivery, plus attachment-based and systems theory
- Clear, professional communication with clients, families, and referral sources
- Effective documentation and familiarity with EHR systems
- Comfort with Google Workspace and clinical software, or the initiative to learn
- Organized, reliable, and follows through on administrative responsibilities
- Consistent HIPAA-compliant and ethical practice
Position Requirements
- Comfortable carrying a minimum of 20 client hours per week
- Available for bi-monthly team meetings and clinical support meetings, plus documentation and training time
- Willing to be credentialed with insurance panels as needed
- Active NPI number
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Willing to provide both in-person and telehealth treatment
- Some evening or weekend availability is highly desired
- Preferred: experience with neurodiverse clients and families, and with children, adolescents, couples, or families
- Preferred: bilingual ability, including Spanish, Hindi, Farsi, or Mandarin
Populations You’ll Be Working With
Children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Common presentations include anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, autism, AuDHD, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and relationship, couple, and family challenges.
